چکیده

Spatially-invariant land use and cover changes (LUCC) are not suitable for managing non-stationary drought conditions. Therefore, developing a spatially varying framework resources is necessary. In this study, the Dongjiang River Basin in South China used to exemplify significance of spatial heterogeneity planning optimization mitigating risks. Using ERA5 that 5th major atmospheric reanalysis from European Centre Medium-Range Weather Forecast, we computed Standardized Runoff Index (SRI) quantify hydrologic during 1992 2018. Also, based on Climate Change Initiative product, The Geographically Weighted Principal Component Analysis was identify most dominant types same period. Then, Emerging Hot Spots characterize spatiotemporal evolution historical LUCC SRI. coefficients Temporally Regression models were reveal empirical relationships between Results indicated rainfed cropland with herbaceous cover, mosaic tress shrub, shrubland, grassland four having statistical correlations conditions over 27 years. Moreover, since 2003, DRB becoming drier, northern areas generally experienced severer than south. More importantly, proposed region-specific land-use strategies risk reductions. At basin scale, recommended 1) increase 2) reduce tree shrub. sub-basin extents shrub suggested but Region-specific planning, including locations, scales, strategies, will contribute handling current ‘one-size-fits-all’ LUCC. Planners integrate characteristics into future regional management.

Impacts of Land Use on Surface Water Quality in a Subtropical River Basin: A Case Study of the Dongjiang River Basin, Southeastern China

Understanding the relationship between land use and surface water quality is necessary for effective water management. We estimated the impacts of catchment-wide land use on water quality during the dry and rainy seasons in the Dongjiang River basin, using remote sensing, geographic information systems and multivariate statistical techniques. The results showed that the 83 sites can be divided ...

Landscape Ecological Risk Responses to Land Use Change in the Luanhe River Basin, China

Land use change has large effects on natural ecosystems, which is considered to be the main factor in eco-environment change. We analyzed the future characters of land use change by the CLUE-S model and explored landscape ecological risk responses to land use change by the landscape ecological risk index method. Using the Luanhe River Basin as a case study, we simulated future land use change f...

Analysis of land use dynamics and landscape pattern change in the Huai river basin, China

This study presented the analyses of temporal and spatial change of land use dynamics and landscape pattern in the Huai river basin during the period 1986-2005 by using the land use dynamic degree model, the land use centroids and the landscape metrics; and discussed the driving forces of land use change over the period employed the gray relational analysis method. The main results showed that:...
